Arch Engineers took on the role of coordinating between the Owner’s Engineer (WSP) and the design-construction group where COWI was assigned the Approval Engineer, Arch took on design and drafting, SS Structures performed fabrication and manufacturing, SS and Construction performed the installation and logistics.

Needing to deal with the various interested parties, while not always aligned on mutual benefits, proved to be a major challenge which impacted both design costs as well as schedule impacts. Arch coordinated the project such that a single fabrication window was utilized and delivered both shop drawings & design drawings to SS Structures within weeks, rather than months – thus saving the project schedule and tens of thousands of dollars.
