PROJECT SUMMARY

Arch Engineers completed inspections on 11 high-priority transportation structures in the Fort McMurray Oilsands, including the Leismer Bridge. The region is known for harsh conditions and strict environmental, safety, and reporting standards. Our scope covered vehicle bridges and pipeline crossings. Each required detailed assessments of superstructures, substructures, bearings, and nearby ground conditions. All inspections followed Alberta Transportation guidelines—some of the toughest in Canada.

Our engineers produced thorough, data-driven reports. Each included condition ratings, clear maintenance priorities, and photo documentation. We structured the deliverables to match the client’s asset management and audit systems. The Leismer Bridge inspection, like the others, demanded precise coordination between fieldwork and reporting.

We scheduled site visits to align with weather windows, access limitations, and ongoing industrial activity. This allowed us to complete inspections efficiently with minimal disruption. Our documentation supported both immediate safety actions and long-term maintenance planning.

This project highlights Arch’s ability to meet public-sector demands with technical precision and clear communication. Our team delivered results on time and aligned with all regulatory frameworks.

We apply the same discipline to CMBC’s Seabus Bearings and Pedestals Assessment. The tools and workflows used in Fort McMurray ensure we can deliver detailed, actionable insights wherever they’re needed—under pressure, on deadline, and with full regulatory compliance.
