PROJECT SUMMARY

Arch performed the role of Design Build Team Coordinator for a complex infrastructure project, effectively bridging communications and operations between the Owner’s Engineer (WSP) and the design-construction team led by COWI, the Approval Engineer. Our responsibilities included overseeing design and drafting, coordinating the schedules for steel fabrication, precast concrete manufacture, design drawings, shop drawings, and managing Engineer of Record (EOR) reviews and approvals. This comprehensive coordination ensured that all aspects of the project were seamlessly integrated and executed.

The project presented significant challenges, primarily due to differing priorities among stakeholders, which threatened to escalate design costs and extend timelines. Through strategic management and proactive coordination, Arch Engineers facilitated consensus among all parties, allowing us to capitalize on a single fabrication window. By efficiently managing the delivery schedules for both shop and design drawings to Surespan, we expedited the overall process and maintained project momentum.

This efficiency not only safeguarded the project timeline but also yielded substantial financial savings, highlighting our capability to manage complex projects seamlessly. Our proactive approach and meticulous coordination ensured that the project progressed smoothly, avoiding potential delays and cost overruns. The success of this project demonstrated Arch Engineers’ expertise in project coordination, strategic management, and our commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.
