Arch Engineers Ltd. provided full project management services for a temporary community center and library in Lougheed Mall. This solution supported the public while the existing Cameron Community Centre undergoes a 3+ year rebuild in Cameron Park. The work included demolition and renovation of two retail spaces. It also required tight coordination with stakeholders and adherence to strict timelines and specifications.
Arch worked closely with Bosa Construction and Urban Arts Architecture to coordinate all project aspects. This included managing contractors and subcontractors using MMCD and CCDC documentation methods. As a result, construction proceeded with clarity, compliance, and efficiency. Moreover, Arch facilitated smooth integration of diverse stakeholders. These included the City of Burnaby’s IT, AV, Risk Management, and Facilities Maintenance departments.
Effective stakeholder communication was key to success. Project managers engaged with over five City departments to meet end-user needs. As part of this, Arch prepared tender documents for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FFE), aligning the fit-out with project goals.
Arch’s strong teamwork and open communication helped them deliver a temporary hub that met the highest standards for both usability and compliance. This project is another example of how Arch Engineers skillfully manage complex municipal builds, as seen with the Cameron Community Centre, always delivering results on time and with great care.
